2. General information
We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide this website, to handle inquiries, or to carry out pre-contractual and contractual measures. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you personally.
3. Hosting and server log data
This website is provided via GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. (USA). When the website is accessed, technically necessary connection data may be processed, in particular IP address, browser and device information, time of access and the page accessed. Among other purposes, GitHub processes and logs visitors' IP addresses for security reasons.
Processing is based on our legitimate interest in a secure, stable and technically error-free provision of the website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Further information can be found in the GitHub privacy policy.
4. Contacting us
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you provide in order to handle your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where pre-contractual or contractual measures are concerned, and otherwise our legitimate interest in handling your inquiry pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Emails are stored with our email hosting provider, which processes them on our behalf as a processor. To handle inquiries, we may use AI-based tools whose providers are likewise bound as processors; no automated decision within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
We store this data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose and statutory retention obligations.
5. Appointment booking via Calendly
We use Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA) for appointment bookings. Our website contains only a link to Calendly; no Calendly content is loaded merely by visiting our website. If you book an appointment via the link, we process the information you provide in the booking form (in particular name, email address, your answers and the selected time) in order to arrange and conduct the appointment. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures).
Calendly processes this booking data on our behalf as a processor on the basis of a data processing agreement. Calendly is independently responsible for the visit to the Calendly page itself (e.g. cookies set there); for this, see the Calendly privacy notice. We store booking data for as long as necessary to handle the appointment and possible follow-up conversations, and delete it afterwards unless statutory retention obligations apply.
6. Cookies, analytics and advertising
On this website, we do not use any analytics, tracking or advertising services ourselves and do not store any cookies of our own. External sites that you reach via links may use their own technologies; their privacy notices apply to those.
7. Recipients and transfers to third countries
GitHub (hosting) and Calendly (appointment booking) are based in the USA. Both providers are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the adequacy decision of the European Commission of July 10, 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, the providers have agreed to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). Details can be found in the privacy notices of the respective providers.
8. Your rights
Within the scope of the statutory requirements, you have the following rights:
- Access to the data processed about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
To exercise these rights, an informal message to the contact details above is sufficient.
9. Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR
Where we process personal data on the basis of a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
10. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (Bavarian Data Protection Authority, BayLDA)
Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach
Postal address: Postfach 1349, 91504 Ansbach
www.lda.bayern.de
11. No automated decision-making
There is no automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
12. Obligation to provide data
You are not obliged to provide us with personal data. However, without the information required to contact us, we cannot process your inquiry.
13. Security and updates
This website is delivered encrypted via HTTPS. In addition, we take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. This privacy policy will be updated if the website, the services used or legal requirements change.
